Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson says he doesn’t believe a busy offseason will distract him from the works he needs to do to get Seattle back to where it wants to be–once again contending for a Super Bowl win.
With the retirement of Marshawn Lynch, Wilson finds himself the focus of the Seahawks offense. Yet off the field, he launched a line of clothing, overhauled his personal brand and married pop singer Ciara Harris in a lavish ceremony held in an English castle.
When asked about his hectic schedule, however, Wilson said that the business has forced him to become more intentional about his time management, making him more efficient in the process.
Even though Wilson’s plate was full with endeavors unrelated to football, he managed to dedicate time to the game in the offseason. The quarterback says he made changes to his diet, which in turn led to him shedding some extra weight that he had put on through poor eating habits last year.
The Seahawks hope that the lighter Wilson’s mobility will again make him the run/pass threat that has boggled defenses over the past three seasons.
